Implementation of a new analytical technique to determine the electrical parameters of junction models

  This paper presents a new analytical method to extract the electrical parameters of junctions by replacing the simple exponential forward current with an equivalent polynomial model. Analytical expressions for the diode parameters (?, Io, Rs and Rsh) are derived and compared with the polynomial coefficients of degree n=4. The method is applied with Schottky diode based on polymers Al/PPEEB. The electrical characterization is performed by experimental equipment carried out by our research team. The obtained results are compared with threes other methods: graphical, Lambert and Levenberg-Marquardt methods. Based on the statistical indicators, the developed technique shows several advantages at speed, precision and convergence compared to the other techniques.
