  Abstract
The present paper explores the effect of the annealing temperature on the structural and optical properties of TiO2 thin films deposited on glass substrate by sol-gel spin-coating. Titanium isopropoxide TTIP was used as a precursor. The obtained films were annealed at different temperatures scaling from 300 to 400°C in air for 1 hour. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirms the presence of the anatase structure upon annealing at 400°C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) show that the surface morphology was uniform and granular. A high optical transmission value was found to be about 80% using UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometry measurements. An indirect band gap value around 3.6 eV was measured.
