  Abstract
Pseudo cyst of the pancreas is the most common variety of the cystic lesions of the pancreas accounting almost 80% of cases. The number and the size of the cysts may vary from case to case. A cyst larger than 15 cm is referred as a giant pseudocyst. Usually, giant pseudocyst is symptomatic or causes complications as there is less chance for spontaneous resolution. It can cause external compression of the adjacent structures. The displacement of the abdominal aorta by the pseudocyst of pancreas is reported only once in the English literature. Possibly, this is the unique case of giant pseudocyst causing displacement of the abdominal aorta to the right side.
