To further improve the power conversion efficiencies of dye-sensitized solar cells, one-dimensional TiO2 nanotubes are expected as good candidates as photoanode materials in the solar cells owing to their highly ordered structure and big surface area. This paper provides a review of the recent progresses in the fabrication of TiO2 nanotubes, and their applications in dye-sensitized solar cells.
