  Abstract
This study reports the effectiveness of the EPI-Suite model to predict physico-chemical properties, fate in the environment, and removal in wastewater treatment plants of some pesticides (atrazine, diuron, isoproturon, alachlor, pentachlorophenol, and chlorfenvinphos) and polyaromatic aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, anthracene, fluoranthene, benzo(a)pyrene, and benzo(ghi)perylene) identified as priority pollutants by the European Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC. The model showed to be very useful in predicting physical-chemical properties such as water solubility, the octanol-water and soil adsorption coefficients as well as wastewater removal efficiencies of the selected organic compounds.
