Dependence of order parameter and coherence length on pre-stress

  Abstract  
  In deformable superconductors, an interesting phenomenon is the contribution of lattice deformation to the superconductivity. Subject to a mechanical loading, the superconductor exhibits a nonlinear coupling between superconducting and mechanical effects. The order parameter and coherence length of the deformable superconductor undergoing a pre-stress are obtained. We discuss the effect of the pre-stress and coupling parameter on superconductivity. It is emphasized that the model of this paper is restricted to linearly elastic deformation.
