  Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the degree of entanglement for more general two-qubit states in the construction of spin coherent states. As a measure of entanglement, we use the concurrence and we study its behavior as a function of some new parameters for the case of pure and mixed states. Finally, we study the entanglement of a class of mixed states defined as a statistical mixture of two pure states by using a simplified expression of concurrence in the Wootters measure of entanglement.
