Abstract |
|
|
One of the promising research areas in alternative energy technologies is solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). Optimization and development of cell materials with the aim to reduce the operating temperature of SOFCs are the prime concerns of the research community. In the present work, cobalt-rich oxygen deficient perovskite material Sr2Co2O5 has been synthesized as cathode material for SOFCs. Gadolinia doped ceria (GDC) is prepared in both nano and bulk form to compare the effect of particle size of electrolyte. These materials have been characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and Raman spectroscopy.
